PAST EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Youth Arts Summer Camp focus on discovery, exploration, and learning, which is a constant in the vibrant art of live performance and theatre. Campers separated by age group will meet as a company at various times throughout the camp day, but will be working with separate teaching staff and counselors based on their age. We will learn, practice, and refine skills that are at the core of being a well rounded performing artist, such as range of voice, command of body language and physicality, stage presence, and the power of communicating with confidence.
Learn from working industry professionals, and perform on the Garry Marshall Theatre stage.
Broadway Dance will be taught by professional dance instructors from the LA and NY choreography and dance community. Both cohorts will practice multiple choreographed routines in the rehearsal space and on the stage. Ages 10-12 will practice basic dance vocabulary and methods and ages 13-17 will focus on more advanced dance techniques within choreography. This program culminates with a special presentation on the GMT stage showcasing the BROADWAY DANCE participants sharing what they learned and created during their 6 weeks together.
