GMT’s summer camp curriculum is built on exploration and the freedom to be messy and try new things. Camp is fun! We will focus learning collaboration essentials within an ensemble, growing performance skills and making clear and bold choices.

Each Session offers insight and allows for growth in arts exploration. For the fullest experience, a multi-week camp adventure will offer young artists the most practice in the full arc of live performance and musical theatre. 

Session 1 - June 9-13: FREESTANDING WEEK

Youth Arts Summer Camp

Theatre at its core, is fun! Our Youth Arts Summer Camp days are structured with kinetic and immersive theatrical exploration.

Ages 8-11 will be in discovery and creativity mode with some of our favorite teaching artists.

We will learn, practice, and refine skills that are the essentials to being a well-rounded performing artist, such as range of voice, command of body language and physical expression, stage presence, and the power of communicating with confidence. We will utilize art projects in the exploration, and will show a “movie musical” based on a Broadway show on the GMT big screen.

Session 2 - June 16-20: FREESTANDING WEEK

Physical Comedy & Clowning Summer Camp

Who doesn’t love to laugh?

Physical Comedy and Clowning gives campers ages 8-11 and 12-17 the opportunity to expand their physical vocabulary, comedic timing and storytelling ability.

This camp will be led by professionals from the world of circus, clowning and non-verbal storytelling. Slapstick humor, clown routines, and improvisation will help young artists discover the power of exaggeration and how to connect with an audience. Trips & slips, spit-takes, character walks, prop comedy, face work, comic skits, bold entrances, pie in the face and sight gags are sure to abound. What can we say… this is going to be FUN!

Session 3 - June 23-27: FREESTANDING WEEK

Musical Theatre Movement Summer Camp

Youth: 8-11
Teens: 12-17

June 23-27, M-F, 9am-3pm

For a full week, ages 8-11 and 12-17 will uncover the magic of movement in musical theatre - from physical presence in a scene that leads up to a song, all the way to the Broadway “dance break” and everything in between.

This athletic and energetic week will be led by some of LA’s best professional dancers, choreographers and stage performers. Unlock the difference between a jazz square (an element used in every Broadway Musical), contemporary Broadway choreography, and how to learn and refine a double turn. Iconic songs will be used to explore the styles of movement and dance in the Broadway lexicon. Since this week will not include singing, we really put the focus on the most joyful element of theatre - movement.

Musical Theatre Revue Summer Camp

  • Culmination Presentation Dates: July 18 at 6pm, July 19 at 2pm

This year we will be building an entirely new powerhouse Musical Theatre Revue. The 2025 musical theatre revue will feature show stopping numbers and the opportunity for solos!

This 2-week camp is an acting, singing, dancing event that culminates in two performances. Special guests who are known in the American Musical Theatre arena will be making appearances.

Camp days will be concentrated on vocalization, singing in harmony, performing dialogue, choreography and on-stage performance for a culmination presentation with elements of costume, props and scenic features developed by participants in the TEEN TECH Summer Camp.

Sibling discounts: Call for sibling discount pricing per program. Sibling discount pricing available when both siblings are in camp during the same weeks.

Tickets for culmination presentations are $20 each and will go on sale July 1st.
