Education Coordinator
DESCRIPTION
Garry Marshall Theatre seeks an energetic, organized person to join the company’s Education Department as our Education Coordinator. This person will be mentored by the Education Program Manager and will work closely with both the Education Program Manager and the Producing Artistic Director, who they will report to. They will also work with the GMT General Manager, Director of Production and the Digital Support Administrator.
The ideal candidate is interested in arts education as well as the administrative side of theatre, is organized and shows an eagerness and willingness to learn.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities may include:
Knowledge of and passion for arts education and theatre.
Experience and/or interest in youth arts education and administration for ages 8 to 17.
Collaborate with the education team on upcoming programming and enrollment strategies.
Proficiency in spreadsheets, basic computer applications, and cloud based file sharing. Experience in data tracking, spreadsheet creation, and archiving of past programs (with help of GM and Digital Support) Current computer applications in use are Cognito, Acuity, and Google workspace.
Tracking enrollment through spreadsheets and enrollment forms. Enrollment range is 20 to 40 participants per program.
Ability to speak with parents and participants in a professional manner and capable of handling situations, issues, and unforeseen circumstances.
Communicate with parents regarding enrollment, program reminders, welcome packets, logistics, day to day communications, etc. Assist with program enrollment including registration and tuition assistance.
Update contract templates for teaching artists and track completion of hiring and contract paperwork.
Maintain an education database with all pertinent documents, spreadsheets, etc. Pull data reports.
Coordinate and maintain all educational supplies and materials with GM.
Prepare and set up all classroom spaces, monitor classes with staff, and clean up/restore classroom spaces after class.

The ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
The ability to work in person in Burbank and potentially travel locally as needed.
Salary: $25 per hour.
Part time 20 hours per week beginning January 20, 2025.
Full time hours from mid May to mid-August, 2025.
