RICK BATALLA (Burgermeister/others) is an award-winning performer, writer, and director for television, film, and theater, and one of the founders of the Troubadour Theater Company. Rick studied with the creator of the Groundlings in Los Angeles, and at the Second City. He has been a series regular on shows like CBS’s Payne, ABC’s True Love, and TBS’s Dinner and a Movie, where he also was the writer and director. He just finished filming Aaron Sorkin’s Being the Ricardos with Nicole Kidman, which will be released early 2022.  

TERRON BROOKS (Kris Kringle) I’m a newbie Troubie. Motown is in my veins having the privilege to portray Eddie Kendricks in the Emmy award winning miniseries The Temptations. Boy, 100 words is coming up fast. I’ve sung a lot of songs with many amazing artists including Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson. I’ve performed on stages all over the world including Broadway playing a Lion and a teenage jive talking dancer who helps a bubbly white girl get on a tv show that forces integration.  I’m Santa to two special souls Andrew and Taylor and my Mrs. Claus Leilani of nearly 19 years. TYM BROWN (Kris Kringle, Dec 10-12) an AMDA grad, hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has toured professionally as both an actor and singer. Some of his credits include ‘Benny’ in RENT, ‘Curtis’ in Sister Act, ‘Aistulf’ in Pope Joan, ‘Dan’ in Return, Vox Lumiere’s national tours of PHANTOM and METROPOLIS, Opening act for Smokey Robinson and many shows with 3DT, DOMA, MTW and other companies. This holiday season Tym is co-musical directing and arranging shows at Disneyland’s Festival Of Holidays and Knott’s Merry Farm. He is also the co-writer of the original musical, Reunion of the Bells. @tymcb

TIFFANY DANIELS (Grimsby/Young Kris/others) is a film, television, commercial & stage actress originally from San Diego, CA. After receiving an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, Tiffany moved to Los Angeles to break in to the entertainment industry. She has worked in over 60 film and television projects, multiple National commercials, cheered in the NBA & the NFL, and traveled the country in a 1st National Broadway Tour. MALYNDA HALE (Tanta Kringle/Doctor Crankytown/others) is a singer/songwriter, actress, & activist. She won “Best Female Vocalist” at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, has opened for artists such as Tyrone Wells, Ernie Halter, Levi Kreis, OTOWN and Smokey Robinson and has toured as a guest entertainer on Royal Caribbean, Regent, and Celebrity. She’s appeared in productions of Once of This Island & Dreamgirls, as well as numerous national commercials and the Lifetime TV movie A Hunt for Truth with Willa Ford. She hosts the podcast #WeNeedToTalk and is the creator of the Black Voices Heard Project. She is the owner of JMV Music Entertainment and a proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA and NARAS. LT MARTINEZ (Dingle/Townie Girl/others) Luis “L.T.” Martinez is a performing artist, filmmaker, and entrepreneur from Whittier, CA with a deep passion for music and film production as well as a not-so-secret affinity for pointing and/or flexing his toes. He is also a recent alumnus of the Emerging Leaders of Color program with the Western States Arts Federation. L.T. likes long walks along the dog beach, especially under a Full Moon, and does his humble best at keeping up with tax code and accounting as Chief Entertainment Officer for CASA ALTA LLC. @eLTigreus

CLOIE WYATT TAYLOR (Bling-Blingle/Jessica) is thrilled to be back onstage with the Troubies. Her recent credits include: the role of  ‘Liza’ in the Troubadour Theater Company/Getty Villa production of LIZAstrata; ‘Sally Sue Tucker’ in The Root Beer Bandits, ‘Vikki’ in the new sitcom, Partners In Rhyme, starring rapper MC Lyte. Finally, you can catch her opposite Nico Tortorella in the upcoming film, The Mattachine Family. As artistic director of the Troubadour Theater Company since 1995, Matt has directed over 40 original productions and been honored with the Orange County Weekly Theater Award for Career Achievement, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award for Sustained Excellence in Theater, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle’s Joel Hirschhorn award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, and nine Ovation awards. Matt sends the most special thank you to his most special collaborator, his partner Suzanne.

RYAN WHYMAN

Ryan is a seasoned pianist and composer from Los Angeles, and has made a living performing and recording with various artists and ensembles over the last decade. As a composer, he writes regularly for film, TV, and video games. Ryan released his debut album, Fantasies & Memories, in 2019, and expects to release another album in 2022.

CHRIS PAYNE DUPRÉ
Choreographer (Uptight, Baby Love, Toys, You’re All I Need)

Chris Payne Dupré has created works for stage and screen that have captivated audiences the world over. Supervising Choreographer on the NBC television show America's Got Talent, the FOX television show Take Me Out, with host George Lopez, the Soul Train Awards and the HBO series Arli$$. He has choreographed performances for Prince, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Paulina Rubio and Jane's Addiction. Chris has performed with Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Brian McKnight, Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias and the legendary Mel Torme. Other performing includes: 68th Academy Awards, Super Bowl XXX & XXXII, the made-for-TV movie Cinderella, Disney’s feature film Newsies and the Tony & Grammy award winning Original Broadway Cast of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida. TrueVisionEntertainment is Chris' production rental facility located in downtown Los Angeles. TVE quickly became a production favorite with clients including: Chris Brown, America’s Got Talent, American Film Institute and Disney.

TANYA ORELLANA
Scenic Designer

Tanya designs performance spaces for live entertainment. Her design collaborations include SAPO, by Culture Clash at The Getty Villa (Los Angeles, CA), Casa de Spirits written and directed by Roger Guenveur Smith at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum (San Francisco, CA), the world premiere of The Heath, by Lauren Gunderson directed by Sean Daniels (Lowell, MA), Nogales: Storytellers in Cartel Country by Richard Montoya, Borderlands Theatre Tucson, Arizona) and The Magic Theatre (San Francisco, CA). Tanya received her MFA in Scenic Design from CalArts (’17) and is the 2016 recipient of the Princess Grace Fabergé Theatre Award.

JM MONTECALVO
Lighting Designer

A native Rhode Islander, JM holds an MFA in Lighting Design from Illinois State University. With his private company, Spectrum401, JM has designed The Nighttime Studio Tour, The Special Effects Show at Universal Studios Hollywood, and for NBC news studios nationwide. In China, Singapore, Russia, and Taiwan he has designed the Marvel Avenger S.T.A.T.I.O.N. attraction followed by the Chi- nese touring Transformers exhibit. Recent projections include collaborations with Feld Entertainment on The Trolls: The Experience in New York City and Nickelodeon’s Slime City Experience in Miami, Florida. As Lighting Di- rector for the Garry Marshall Theatre his designs include: Master Class, The Enchanted Nightingale, The Mountaintop, My Funny Valentine in concert and The Root Beer Bandits. In 2020 JM designed GMT’s Holidaze Harmony virtual concert event remotely via webcam and technology with the help of the GMT Family.

JESSICA CHAMPAGNE-HANSEN
Costume Designer

Jessica is an Ovation-nominated costume designer and technician with credits in theater, dance, film, television, commercials, theme parks, and corporate clients. She is a published author and her work has been featured in numerous theater journals and books. Jessica is proud to be the head faculty and creator of the costume program at East Los Angeles College in the Theatre Arts Department. She is a member of IATSE Local 829 and serves on the Publication Committee for USITT. Jessica received an MFA in Costume Design from University of California, Irvine and a BFA in Costume Design & Technology from Emerson College.

ROBERT ARTURO RAMIREZ
Sound Designer

Robert is pleased to be designing at the Garry Marshall Theatre. For TV, he Sound Designed Netflix series Dear White People and helps in co-designing Manifest at Warner Brothers. Past theatrical designs: Haunted House Party (Troubies/Getty Villa); Broads! (El Portal); Lady Day (GMT); The Grapes of Wrath (Theatreworks SV); Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses (asst. Sound, CTG Mark Taper). He’s received 3 Emmy / 2 Ovation nominations. Other TV credits include Superman and Lois, Titans for HBOmax, DC’s Arrow. Ovation nominations for Best Musical Direction: A Christmas Westside Story, Two Gentlemen of Chicago, A Wither's Tale, Alice in One-hit Wonderland 2, and As U2 Like it.  

SUZANNE JOLIE
TTC Producer

Suzanne Jolie first appeared on the Troubie stage in 2011's  A Christmas Westside Story, and has been involved in almost every subsequent production in some capacity ever since!  She was last seen as Ojai Amy/ Reconciliation in the smash hit LIZASTRATA.   Besides performing, Suzanne produces, restages, choreographs, wig designs, makeup designs and runs all social media accounts. BETH KENNEDY
TTC Producer

Beth is a long-standing member of the Troubies, performing in and producing over 30 productions. She is the recipient of multiple Ovation, LA Drama Critics Circle and Backstage Awards. Last seen in Getty Villa’s OCT production of LIZAstrata, she is excited to be back at the GMT for this special show! Much appreciation to all the fans for always showing up! FRANK FONTAINE
Saxophones

Frank Fontaine is an LA native that has toured with Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle, and Celia Cruz (the biggest divas ever… which is probably where he gets it from). Frank is also an active jazz educator and scholar whose doctoral research is focused on equity, inclusion, and communities of practice. Frank’s mom believes that there should be way more sax solos in this show… his kids disagree.

KEVIN STEVENS
Drums

Kevin Stevens has performed with a wide range of artists including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member - Duane Eddy, punk rock pioneer - Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Marc Broussard, Minnie Driver, Latin pop-star - Beto Cuevas, and many others while touring the globe and appearing on national TV (Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen Show, Late Late Show, America’s Got Talent). He was in the original production of Rock of Ages and has also performed on soundtracks for television including the Disney Network, Frazier (NBC), Star (Fox), and Coca-Cola.  He keeps busy in Los Angles freelancing, leading his own projects, including Brass Monkey Brass Band and Rumproller Organ Trio, and teaching at Musicians Institute.

MIKE SULPRIZIO

JOSEPH LEO BWARIE
GMT Producer

JLB is known for his record-breaking turn as Frankie Valli in the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys (over 2,000 performances – Las Vegas, Tour & Broadway). He is a Sherman Oaks native and a recording artist popular on XM Siriusly Sinatra. Albums: Nothin’ But Love, The Good Stuff, A Little Christmas. At Garry’s Falcon Theatre, he wrote/produced seven original family productions, performed in nine “Troubie” shows, played ‘Chachi Arcola’ in Happy Days the musical, and was associate director alongside Garry for the world premiere Billy & Ray. For GMT is a founding Artistic Director and has directed A Funny Thing Happened… Forum starring Joey McIntyre, The Root Beer Bandits, and Holidaze Harmony 2020 and the upcoming Holidaze Harmony starring Terron Brooks and Kamilah Marshall.

KURT J. SWANSON
GMT Managing Director

Chicago native, Kurt Swanson has been involved in theatre and performing arts since childhood. He has served in a variety of senior positions with social service and arts organizations including Theatre X, Steppenwolf Theatre, and Executive Director of Animal Samaritans SPCA. Swanson serves as a senior advisor with The Third Sector Company and as a consultant with SST Non-Profit Services aiding clients in administration, finance and executive search. Swanson has served as General Manager of the Broad Stage and Interim CFO of The Wallis among others. Swanson has lived in Toluca Lake for over 22 years.

An innovator in pop culture, writer/director, Garry Marshall believed that live, shared storytelling was one of the greatest human experiences.

On this principle, and with an affinity for community and summer camp-like spirit, Mr. Marshall and his family built this 130-seat, live theatre space for all in 1997. Now part of his legacy, the nonprofit space is aptly called the Garry Marshall Theatre.
