Want to up your game when it comes to standing out in auditions that incorporate movement?
In a new series for actors, join Kayla Janssen at Garry Marshall Theatre. Each of the four 2-hour sessions are designed for actors with minimal or even no dance training who want access to how to be in the mix for auditions that involve character movement and dance elements.
This is a great class for those who are curious about how to handle auditions for TV/film when casting/production is asking for movement.
These sessions are designed to teach the actor some dance basics that work for in-person and on-camera auditions. And yes, we will also build and explore achievable choreography each session.
Each week will build upon the previous, and will include a warm-up, foundation drills, individual movement explorations, and adding onto choreography that will be executed in its full expression in the final video filming.
The final session (April 3), will also be a filming day, on location at GMT.
Once edited, the actors will receive the final video for their casting pages and other social media pages.
An in person waiver is required and will be provided at Garry Marshall Theatre, and will be signed by each participant acknowledging that this will culminate in a filming to be shared by others within the class.
